The building at 558 N Market Blvd was completed in 1923 and has stood at the heart of downtown Chehalis for a century.
1923
Built as the Beau Arts (Gabel) Building on N Market Blvd, originally a Ford dealership and garage.
Dec 7, 1938
Opened as the Pix Theater with the film Thanks for the Memory. The house seated 653.
1954
Renamed The Chehalis Theater. The Art Deco facade that defines the building today was well established by this era.
2000
The neon marquee was restored, returning its original glow to downtown Chehalis.
2003
Recognized as part of the Chehalis Downtown Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
2021 to 2023
Major restoration of the building and auditorium. The official ribbon-cutting was held in March 2023. The theater today seats 450 on a single screen.

Films, live entertainment, and the Limelight restaurant, all inside the historic house.
